MOUNTAIN LION

Mountain lions are predators. Elk are prey. And every winter the two meet on our 30-mile stretch of river drainage along the South Fork - providing you with an opportunity to track, tree and harvest a monster cat. It’s Mother Nature at her best – the elk and deer herd migrates down to the river and the cats await their arrival and your right in the mix of it all!

For the past several years our success rate has been 100% for big cat hunting. Naturally, this is one of our most popular hunts. It is a physically challenging hunt since tracking the big cats is required. We strongly suggest you arrive in top physical condition so you may both enjoy and participate in this heart-pounding chase across Idaho’s most beautiful country.

Our highly trained and conditioned dogs know how to get the job done. We use well maintained 4x4 trucks; ATV’s as well as snowmobiles when the weather dictates. All in all it is one of the most exciting and worthwhile hunts you’ll ever experience.

If at all possible, we recommend keeping your hunting dates flexible because when all the elements come together your chances of a successful hunt are dramatically increased.

Lodging is provided in our log cabin in Yellow Pine - where you will find hot showers, warm beds and delicious meals.
