ELK/DEER HUNTS

With over 200 square miles of roadless area, our wilderness is abundant with elk and deer. Our season opens in mid-September during the middle of the elk rutting season, providing you with the opportunity to both hear the hair-raising sound of the mature elk bugle and the chance to harvest a trophy bull.

Our fall elk and deer hunts are done on horseback and on foot. The terrain is diverse with elevations ranging from 3,500 to 8,000 feet. The hunt is rugged. The hunt is challenging. While you may have the opportunity to harvest a bull with minimal horseback riding and walking – you may also be required to ride and walk several miles each day – we suggest being in sound physical shape when you arrive. (please see FAQ’s)

The elk tend to be more active during our late season hunt, October 14th through November 7th, which offers the enterprising hunter great tracking opportunities as well as increased visibility.

We like to hang our hat on the fact that 80% of our hunters are returning friends. While no outfitter will ever guarantee you a trophy bull – we however, promise you a memorable experience that will last a lifetime.
